The City of Baths, Pearl of the Danube, Little Paris: Budapest has many names and even more personalities. Capital of a vibrant new Hungary, it is one of the oldest, and youngest, cities in the world.
From 5 to 8 December, 9 MICE Planners joined Ria Mooijaart & Partners on an inspiring trip to Budapest organized by our DMC IMS. Throughout a tumultuous history, Budapest has never lost its beauty, charm or gritty sense of humor.

Bastion Tower
We started of on Friday evening with a dinner at the Fishermen’s Bastion Restaurant. Without a doubt, one of Budapest major attractions, it has the best panoramic views over City. The building that has 7 turrets looks like the castle of Walt Disney, only it is nicer and older.
We stayed at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, which is a magnificent luxury hotel with a very convenient location in the city center. The extensive meeting facilities make it the perfect venue for the most beautiful events. Download the Hotel factsheet HERE.
On Saturday we went on a city trip and discovered the impressive Opera House of Budapest. We enjoyed some time at leisure to shop in the Great Market House and the picturesque Christmas Market. We took the time to visit the castle of Sissy, the Domonyvölgy, the castle district and much more.
Overall, the trip was perfect and showed us all the great potential this city has for the MICE sector; great venues and perfect service!
